What does one write about when one is just happy & content? Nothing to moan about, or give advice for – I’m not going to lie, it feels kinda’ nice! I guess we better just stick to the outfit for today 😉
The first of its S/S 2017 kind on tarmarz.com may I add.. For the first time in ever I’m actually excited about my Summer wardrobe! After dusting my hands off from this year’s Spring clean (which btw you can watch in all it’s ruthlessness HERE) I had a half empty wardrobe which of course just needed to be filled. Last Summer was a disaster fashion wise for me, I was completely unprepared for 30-degree temperatures everyday for two months and for sheer practicality wore the same shorts and t-shirt combo almost everyday. I was NOT going to let this happen again so naturally I’ve been collecting pieces here and there until last week I went on a full blown rampage – sorry not sorry. I’ve actually been shopping more high-street brands more than online-only marketplaces for the first time in a long time. I popped into Stradivarius whilst in Belfast – a Spanish store much like Zara or Bershka but serving up MUCH better collections for Summer at ridiculously affordable prices. I swear that store is all my mom talks about, and when Betty says somethings good, its good! She wasn’t lying, but in an effort to actually close my suitcase on the way home this time I stopped at four pieces. First up this white boned señorita vibe off the shoulder number and this paper-bag style skirt – complete with a ring belt detail that I just can’t resist on an item of clothing.
As my skin tone is warming up a bit I’m also having fun with more silver jewellery for a change. You guys know I’m a fan of Cluse watches and this silver/gold mix available from ARGENTO is perfect for the indecisive gal like me as the mixed metals just go with everything. Something that goes with both silver and gold jewellery is definitely worth investing in as it really cuts down the volume of accessories you need! If you haven’t already noticed from my vlogs I’ve also been obsessed with a good statement earring (like the rest of the world right now I know) – they are really having a moment! I chose these contemporary pair also from Argento as they really catch the eye but are also dainty in their own way. I know about five different people that would genuinely love these as gifts.
Cathal dearest was kind enough to take time out of his busy architecture schedule to shoot my crisp new outfit in my favourite place in Belfast – the Botanic Gardens Palm House which I had the pleasure of living beside for so long. Did I mention it’s warm, has good lighting (as in the lighting was so good I didn’t need to do my usual minor skin retouches, just the colour grade) and is full of divine plants? Ideal shoot location! It’s a dramatic place so we had fun with it. The boy takes some cute photos.. Anyway, its nice to meet you again Summer! T.
