TOP – THIRD FORM, TROUSERS – MONKI, SHOES – H&M, BAG – CHOIES, SUNGLASSES – CELINE
Welcome to New York fashion week day three style! Before Club Monaco’s first ever presentation/fashion show I shot this look on one of my favourite places to shoot other models – Bryant Park New York City library. I wanted to shoot somewhere that would make this peachy keen Third Form top shine and what better backdrop then a whole lot of marble! I love the loose cut & D-ring neck detail and paired it back with one of my favourite trousers from Monki (similar here) which after shooting I’ve realised have sadly gotten a little big on me… I guess I’ll add it to the mound of things I need to bring to the tailor – surely I’m not the only one that has a six month old bag full of things that need to be hemmed/fixed!
Club Monaco’s first show was nearby with Grand Central station providing a spectacular backdrop to the event. It’s definitely made me pay more attention to Ralph Lauren’s mid-level market sister brand. Appealing to a wide variety of personal style, the collection featured classic tailoring, modern knitted silhouettes layered with fur, and subtle easy-to-digest florals, definitely saw a ton of pieces I could see myself in. More of an A/W show then Spring season for sure but great for people ready to shop the looks soon on the highstreet!
Had fun changing up the edit on these shots, loving a bit of drama this season… Also I’d just like to take some time out of this post to remember 9/11, and sending my love to all of my American followers still affected by it today – T.x
