I spent the whole day travelling back to belfast yesterday so mucho sorry for the missed post. It was grim from start to finish now that its dark early & raining all the time (heya Irish winter).
Hoooowever it was made a lot brighter once I got home! As I mentioned in the previous post, it was my birthday, and the boy did good. I’m as materialistic as any other girl so things like birthdays & christmas I suppose you could say are a little more exciting but I don’t place too much value on those expensive things. It’s more that I just love the element of surprise! I don’t care how much the person has spent but the thoughtfulness and consideration thats gone in to it is what means the most to me. To be honest my favourite thing about my birthday is getting a card from my boyfriend! I got a lovely surprise of these two gorgeous handmade gold rings from Mairi (Mustard & Peaches), a local contemporary jewellery designer in Belfast. Those little grooves etched out of the rings mimic parts of the north coast of Ireland. Dainty, modern & meaningful. I love them! I think they’re from Mairi’s Mourne Collection not yet available online, but you can find her work here on instagram where she announces any opportunities to buy at her pop-up shops. I’m dying to get my hands on the matching bigger statement ring to fill up my fingers with!
