I’m excited to share with you today’s collaboration with H&M as part of #HMBloggers ! I chose 3 styles of jean from H&M’s new denim line and of course I said yes to the challenge of styling all three differently to showcase the versatility of the new range.
First up, delving into a style I haven’t really worn in years, low cut jeans! I was really surprised that these ended up being my favourite. The low-cut shape is great for those like me with a shorter torso to elongate your frame. I recommend paring down the knee rips with a fresh white shirt tucked in for a classic monochrome look, finished off you’re your favourite handbag and staple black boots like mine, also H&M.
Second skin like in terms of fit I was genuinely impressed by the cut of these. Also my problem with low cut jeans in the past is that they also feel lowcut in the back but I felt super secure in these and felt like the rise came up to a more practical cut in the back.
H&M seems to have perfected the modern flare. These are highwaisted and fitted just past the knee which makes for a uber- flattering look (your butt will thank you). Highrise jeans that flare past the heel slimsyour silhouette and again makes you look taller! Take the 70’s vibes further with a laceup top, a trend that is continuing well into A/W or a simple white tee.
Black jeans, obviously a staple! The super skinny fit is more high waisted then the first pair and perfect for that go-to all black uniform. I love these tucked into heeled boots to magically gain 6 inches in height and black is always the most slimming if you’ve got a bit of a bum & thighs like me. You can pair black jeans with almost anything, trainers during the day, a bodysuit for the night etc… I paired it with a killer statement jacket for a Kim K-esque spin on the classic jeans & leather jacket look which is sexy but sophisticated!
I genuinely have to say I’m pretty impressed with the styles, fit & versatility of the new range! I didn’t really like the fit of H&M denim before so I’m glad they came out with a well thought out range. The high elastic content hugs the figure so well while still remaining comfortable. I have high hopes they won’t lose their shape either, but I’ll have to get back to you on that! Hopefully you will be a bit more inspired on your next shop for denim. Don’t forget to use #HMdenim in your changing room selfies! T x
